Health coverage without the guesswork.
Individual health insurance is one of the most confusing purchases most people make. We help individuals and families across the United States compare plans, check whether their doctors are in-network, and find out what they actually qualify to pay — by phone or virtual meeting.

Self-employed
Freelancers, contractors, and small business owners buying their own coverage.

Recently laid off, retired before 65, or weighing COBRA against a marketplace plan.

Families
Parents covering dependents, or households with a mix of employer and individual coverage.
Why families choose SilverPoint for this coverage.
Subsidy check first
Many households qualify for premium tax credits and never claim them. We calculate your eligibility before we show you a single plan.
We verify your network
Your doctors and prescriptions get checked against each plan's network and formulary before we recommend anything.
Independent, not captive
We're not tied to one carrier, so a plan gets recommended because it fits your household — not because of who we represent.
Help when you need to use it
Claims questions, ID cards, plan changes at renewal — you keep the same advisor after enrollment.

ACA Marketplace Plans
Bronze through Platinum individual and family plans with guaranteed issue, essential health benefits, and premium tax credits for qualifying households.
Off-Marketplace Individual Plans
Carrier-direct individual plans for households that don't qualify for subsidies and want broader network options.
Short-Term Medical
Temporary coverage for gaps between jobs or before a plan year starts. Lower premiums, but limited benefits — we'll be direct about the trade-offs.
Understanding this coverage.
Individual health insurance is priced by where you live, your age, and how many people are on the plan — not by your medical history. Under the Affordable Care Act, carriers can't decline you or charge more for a pre-existing condition.
The metal tiers (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum) describe how costs split between you and the carrier, not the quality of care. Bronze has the lowest premium and the highest deductible; Gold and Platinum reverse that. Silver is worth a close look if your income qualifies you for cost-sharing reductions, because those only apply to Silver plans.
Timing matters. Open Enrollment runs from November 1 through mid-January in most states. Outside that window you need a qualifying life event — losing coverage, moving, marriage, or a new child — which opens a 60-day Special Enrollment Period.
